welcome back guys so today on this video
we're talking about visa
and more specifically we're gonna show
how to find the security code for your
visa so let's go ahead and talk about
this first off this is probably a
question you get a lot when you're
filling out forms online to buy
something a lot of times companies are
going to ask for the 16 digit Visa
credit card number along with the
expiration date your zip code and then
also something called a security code
visa so this is not going to be a long
video that's gonna be a really quick
video because there's not a lot of steps
involved so if you're looking for the
security code on your visa it's usually
gonna be on the back of the card it can
be at a couple of different various
places on the card but most the time
it's on the back so I'm gonna go ahead
and flip these cards over and that way I
can show you a couple of examples so if
you're looking for the security code for
your visa it's usually gonna be here on
the signature strip so this is where you
would typically sign your card on this
line and then right there next to it
it's usually a three digit code so you
can see this one is three seven two so
the security code can be printed here
sometimes it's printed right here on
this line but it doesn't really matter
the main thing is you want to look for a
three digit code when you're looking for
your security code on your visa so
that's the first example now they can
change around a little bit so for
example this one right here it's printed
a little bit different because there's
no signature card this is my cash out
cash card so on the back it shows eight
seven six and it's not on the signature
strip but the security code sometimes
they call it a CB v code I don't
actually know what that means maybe you
do if so leave a comment below let the
rest of us know but that is the security
code for the visa right there
and then here's another example right
here so this one appears a little bit
different than this one
so as you can see this one is on the
side of the signature strip and this one
security code visa is here on the
signature strip but same thing it
doesn't really matter you're just
looking for that three digit code also a
brief description why that is there as
far as I know if you report your card
lost or stolen or you get a replacement
card this security code on your visa
would change so even though the credit
card number may stay the same also the
expiration date may stay the same
usually if they company or the bank
reissues your card they're going to
change that security code also it's a
nice feature because if you
are using your card let's say a public
computer and someone is looking at the
front of the card it's easy for them to
write down the full 16 digit number
without you noticing but they would have
to flip the card over or wait for you to
flip the card over in order to get this
security code on your visa so it's just
an added security feature if someone
happens to be looking over your shoulder
and even if you're really aware of the
people around you sometimes there's
cameras up above when you're putting in
your credit card information and they
can easily capture the front of the card
with 16 digits but in order to capture
the security code on your visa a lot
more difficult so again if you're
looking for the security code on your
visa if you're gonna be buying something
online just flip the card over it's
probably going to be on the signature
panel like most cards it could be some
other strange variation or unorthodox
variation but again usually look for CVB
or security code on the back of your
visa hopefully found that video useful
if so click thumbs up or maybe consider
subscribing to my channel and I hope to
see on the next video thanks again for
